We understand the importance of a healthy and beautiful smile. At Dazzling Dentistry, we believe that everyone deserves to smile with confidence. Missing teeth can detract from the health and aesthetics of your smile. However, dental implants can offer a transformative solution. They can provide a new tooth as well as a renewed sense of confidence. Dental implants are a key part of restorative dentistry, helping to restore both function and aesthetics to your smile.

If you are considering dental implants, you are on the path to restoring your smile and your self-assurance.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants vs. Other Options

When it comes to restoring your smile, you have many options to consider. However, dental implants stand out among other restorative solutions.

Longevity and Durability

Dental implants are known for their remarkable longevity. With proper care, they can even last a lifetime. The titanium implant fuses with the jawbone. As a result, it creates a stable foundation that mimics the strength of natural teeth.

Other options, such as traditional bridges or dentures, may need replacing over time due to wear and tear. Bridges often rely on neighboring teeth for support. As a result, this can impact their longevity.

Preserve Natural Teeth

Unlike traditional bridges, dental implants don’t need to alter the nearby teeth. Preserving more of your natural teeth can help your overall oral health and stability.

Bridges, on the other hand, often need to reduce the size of your adjacent teeth for the restoration. This can weaken these teeth over time.

Stability and Function

Dental implants offer stability that goes beyond what traditional dentures can provide. They become a permanent part of your jaw. As a result, this ensures a secure fit and optimal function. Unfortunately, dentures may sometimes shift or slip. This can lead to discomfort or pain. Furthermore, it can impact your ability to chew and speak confidently.

Looks and Natural Feel

One of the huge benefits of dental implants is that they look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The crown attached to the implant matches the color, shape, and size of your existing teeth. While bridges and dentures aim for a natural look, they may not fully replicate the feel and function of real teeth.

Bone Health and Facial Structure

Implants stimulate the jawbone. As a result, implants can help prevent bone loss and preserve your facial structure. This helps maintain a youthful appearance.  Traditional dentures and bridges may not provide the same level of stimulation. Unfortunately, this can lead to bone resorption over time.

Making the Right Choice

Choosing the right restorative option is a personal decision. However, dental implants stand out for their durability and natural appearance. During your consultation, Dr. Radziszewski will help you to make an informed decision based on your unique needs and preferences.

Dental Implant Crown

The term “dental implant” refers to the screw-like post that is placed into the jaw where there once was a tooth. This procedure is done at the oral surgeon’s office. You will still need a crown to be placed on top of the implant by a dentist. At the first visit, we take impressions and order parts that connect the crown to the implant. It takes about 3 weeks for the crown to be ready. We work with a specialty lab that designs high-quality porcelain crowns that resemble natural teeth. At the second visit, the crown is placed in your mouth.
